Abstract:

We measure the dipion mass spectrum in X(3872)鈫扟/蠄蟺+蟺- decays using 360pb-1 of p虅p collisions at s=1.96TeV collected with the CDF脗 II detector. The spectrum is fit with predictions for odd C-parity (S13, P11, and DJ3) charmonia decaying to J/蠄蟺+蟺-, as well as even C-parity states in which the pions are from 蟻0 decay. The latter case also encompasses exotic interpretations, such as a D0D虅*0 molecule. Only the S13 and J/蠄蟻 hypotheses are compatible with our data. Since S13 is untenable on other grounds, decay via J/蠄蟻 is favored, which implies C=+1 for the X(3872). Models for different J/蠄-蟻 angular momenta L are considered. Flexibility in the models, especially the introduction of 蟻-蠅 interference, enables good descriptions of our data for both L=0 and 1. 漏 2006 The American Physical Society.

Abstract:

We report on a measurement of the inclusive jet production cross section as a function of the jet transverse momentum in pp虅 collisions at s=1.96TeV using data collected with the upgraded Collider Detector at Fermilab in run II, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 385pb-1. The measurement is carried out for jets with rapidity 0.1<|yjet|<0.7 and transverse momentum in the range 54

Abstract:

We report an observation of the decay Bs0鈫扗s-蟺+ in pp虅 collisions at s=1.96TeV using 115pb-1 of data collected by the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. We observe 83卤11(stat) Bs0鈫扗s-蟺+ candidates, representing a large increase in statistics over previous measurements and the first observation of this decay at a pp虅 collider. We present the first measurement of the relative branching fraction B(Bs0鈫扗s-蟺+)/B(B0鈫扗-蟺+)=1.32卤0.18(stat)卤0.38(syst) . We also measure B(B+鈫扗虅0蟺+)/B(B0鈫扗-蟺+)=1.97卤0. 10(stat)卤0.21(syst), which is consistent with previous measurements. 漏 2006 The American Physical Society.
