Extraction of γ at LHCb with a combined Bs →d s ±K∓ and Bd → D±π∓ analysis
3rd Workshop on the Unitarity Triangle, CKM 2005 (2005)
Abstract:
A combined analysis of the CP violating observables in the channels B →Ds±K∓ and B d→ D± π∓ allows the CKM angle γ to be determined in a manner which has certain advantages over the analysis of each channel separately. In particular, the combined analysis reduces greatly the number of ambiguous solutions which would otherwise be present. The potential of the method is illustrated using the expected performance of the LHCb experiment.LHCb γ extraction with Bs → Ds K and B d → D(*)π

Measurement of the branching ratios Γ(Ds*+→Ds+π0)/ Γ(Ds*+→Ds+γ) and Γ(D*0→D0π0)/ Γ(D*0→D0γ)
Physical Review D Particles Fields Gravitation and Cosmology 72:9 (2005)
Abstract:
Data samples corresponding to the isospin-violating decay Ds*+→Ds+π0 and the decays Ds*+→Ds+γ, D*0→D0π0 and D*0→D0γ are reconstructed using 90.4 fb-1 of data recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. The following branching ratios are extracted: Γ(Ds*+→Ds+π0)/Γ(Ds*+→Ds+γ)=0. 062±0.005(stat.)±0.006(syst.) and Γ(D*0→D0π0)/ Γ(D*0→D0γ)=1.74±0.02(stat.)±0.13(syst.). Both measurements represent significant improvements over present world averages. © 2005 The American Physical Society.Search for the radiative decay B0→γ
Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 72:9 (2005)
Abstract:
We perform a search for the exclusive radiative decay B0→γ, which is dominated by b̄d annihilation, in a sample of 124×106 BB̄ events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- storage ring at SLAC. No significant signal is seen. We set an upper limit on the branching fraction of B(B0→γ)<8. 5×10-7 at the 90% confidence level. © 2005 The American Physical Society.Performance of the BaBar-DIRC
