Charm production in charged current deep inelastic scattering at HERA
Journal of High Energy Physics Springer Verlag 2019:201 (2019)
Abstract:
Charm production in charged current deep inelastic scattering has been measured for the first time in e±p collisions, using data collected with the ZEUS detector at HERA, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 358 pbā1. Results are presented separately for e+p and eāp scattering at a centre-of-mass energy of s = 318 GeV within a kinematic phase-space region of 200 GeV2 < Q2 < 60000 GeV2 and y < 0.9, where Q2 is the squared four-momentum transfer and y is the inelasticity. The measured cross sections of electroweak charm production are consistent with expectations from the Standard Model within the large statistical uncertainties.Limits on contact interactions and leptoquarks at HERA
American Physical Society 99:9 (2019)
Abstract:
High-precision HERA data corresponding to a luminosity of aroundĀ 1āāfbā1Ā have been used in the framework ofĀ šā¢šā¢šā¢šĀ contact interactions (CI) to set limits on possible high-energy contributions beyond the Standard Model to electron-quark scattering. Measurements of the inclusive deep inelastic cross sections in neutral and charged currentĀ šā¢šĀ scattering were considered. The analysis of theĀ šā¢šĀ data has been based on simultaneous fits of parton distribution functions including contributions of CI couplings toĀ šā¢šĀ scattering. Several general CI models and scenarios with heavy leptoquarks were considered. Improvements in the description of the inclusive HERA data were obtained for a few models. Since a statistically significant deviation from the Standard Model cannot be established, limits in the TeV range were set on all models considered.Search for magnetic monopoles and stable high-electric-charge objects in 13 TeV proton-proton collisions with the ATLAS detector

Constraints on mediator-based dark matter and scalar dark energy models using sā = 13 TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS detector
Journal of High Energy Physics Springer 2019:5 (2019) 142
Abstract:
Constraints on selected mediator-based dark matter models and a scalar dark energy model using up to 37 fbā1sā = 13 TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC during 2015-2016 are summarised in this paper. The results of experimental searches in a variety of final states are interpreted in terms of a set of spin-1 and spin-0 single-mediator dark matter simplified models and a second set of models involving an extended Higgs sector plus an additional vector or pseudo-scalar mediator. The searches considered in this paper constrain spin-1 leptophobic and leptophilic mediators, spin-0 colour-neutral and colour-charged mediators and vector or pseudo-scalar mediators embedded in extended Higgs sector models. In this case, also sā = 8 TeV pp collision data are used for the interpretation of the results. The results are also interpreted for the first time in terms of light scalar particles that could contribute to the accelerating expansion of the universe (dark energy).Measurement of VH, H -> b(b)over-bar production as a function of the vector-boson transverse momentum in 13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector
