Impact of future HERA data on the determination of proton parton distribution functions using the ZEUS QCD fit
Aip Conference Proceedings 792 (2005) 396-402
Abstract:
The high precision and large kinematic coverage of the data from the HERA-I running period (1994-2000) have already allowed precise extractions of proton parton distribution functions (PDFs). The HERA-II running program is now underway and is expected to provide a substantial increase in the luminosity collected at HERA. In this contribution, a study is presented which investigates the potential impact of future data from HERA on the proton PDF uncertainties, within the currently planned running scenario. In addition, the effect of a possible future measurement of the longitudinal structure function, FObservation, modeling, and temperature dependence of doubly peaked electric fields in irradiated silicon pixel sensors

W boson mass and Properties
AIP Conference Proceedings 792 (2005) 559-562
Abstract:
Measurements of the W boson determine fundamental parameters of the standard model and test its internal consistency at the level of radiative corrections. In particular, the W boson mass constrains the mass of the unobserved Higgs boson through loop corrections, and the W boson width indirectly determines elements of the CKM matrix defining quark generational mixing in the electroweak interactions. The CDF Collaboration has analyzed ≈200 pb -1 of s=1.96TeV pp̄ collision data and determined the uncertainty on its W boson mass measurement to be 76 MeV. The DØ Collaboration has directly measured the W boson width to be Γ W = 2.011 ± 0.09(stat.)±0.107(syst.) GeV using 177 pb -1 of W → ev data. © 2005 American Institute of Physics.Multijet production in neutral current deep inelastic scattering at HERA and determination of αs
European Physical Journal C 44:2 (2005) 183-193
Abstract:
Multijet production rates in neutral current deep inelastic scattering have been measured in the range of exchanged boson virtualities 10 < Q 2 < 5000 GeV2. The data were taken at the ep collider HERA with centre-of-mass energy √s = 318 GeV using the ZEUS detector and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 82.2pb-1. Jets were identified in the Breit frame using the kSearch for supersymmetric Higgs bosons in the di-tau decay mode in pp¯ collisions at s=1.8 TeV
