Measurement of the masses and widths of the bottom baryons 危b卤 and 危b*卤

Abstract:
Using data from pp虅 collisions at 鈭歴=1.96TeV recorded by the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron, we present improved measurements of the masses and first measurements of natural widths of the four bottom baryon resonance states 危b+, 危b*+ and 危b-, 危b*-. These states are fully reconstructed in their decay modes to 螞b0蟺 卤 where 螞b0鈫捨沜+蟺 - with 螞c+鈫抪K -蟺 +. The analysis is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.0fb -1 collected by an online event selection based on tracks displaced from the pp虅 interaction point. 漏 2012 American Physical Society.Improved measurement of muon antineutrino disappearance in MINOS

Abstract:
We report an improved measurement of 谓 虅渭 disappearance over a distance of 735 km using the MINOS detectors and the Fermilab Main Injector neutrino beam in a 谓 虅渭-enhanced configuration. From a total exposure of 2.95脳1020 protons on target, of which 42% have not been previously analyzed, we make the most precise measurement of 螖m 虅2=[2.62-0.28+0.31(stat)卤0. 09(syst)]脳10 -3eV2 and constrain the 谓 虅渭 mixing angle sin2(2胃虅)>0.75 (90% C.L.). Abstract:
A study of the substructure of jets with transverse momentum greater than 400GeV/c produced in proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider and recorded by the CDF II detector is presented. The distributions of the jet mass, angularity, and planar flow are measured for the first time in a sample with an integrated luminosity of 5.95fb -1.
