The DarkSide-20k neutron veto and it light detector

Abstract:

DarkSide-20k is a direct dark matter search experiment which aims to reach a high WIMP mass sensitivity in a free background environment. The principal source of background is given by neutron-induced nuclear recoils which mimic the WIMP signal. The neutron veto and the development of large area Silicon Photomultipliers for this system are reported.
