About Me

I'm from the beautiful tropical island of Singapore, where I graduated high school and performed my military sevice. I did my undergraduate and masters in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, working on Quantum Time Crystals with Prof. Benjamin Beri. I started my DPhil in Oxford in 2024, working with Prof. Andrew Daley.

 

I am interested in modelling quantum transport phenomena in non-markovian Open Quantum Systems (OQS), for example thermodynamics of a quantum heat engine. I use Hierarchy of Pure States (HOPS), a stochastic numerical method which I optimise and parallelise for use on High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters. I am also investigating general open quantum dynamics from the perspective of Lie Algebras.
