I work on thin-film solar cells and flexible organic photovoltaics (OPVs) with a particular interest in accelerating OPVs from lab to global deployment, currently in the Advanced Functional Materials and Devices Group at Oxford. My research centers on scaling a technology that opens vast new markets complementary to conventional PVs and can power the world equitably at a fraction of the environmental footprint of conventional PVs. I also develop flexible transparent electrodes to rationalize and improve the performance of flexible tandem OPVs.
Prior to joining Oxford, I held postdoctoral positions at the University of Toronto and the University of Hong Kong. I received my PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong, where I developed substrate-integrated flexible transparent electrodes for organic optoelectronic devices. My research has led to publications in leading journals including Nature Communications and Advanced Energy Materials, as well as multiple granted international patents.
