Inclusive double-Pomeron exchange at the Fermilab Tevatron p̄p collider
Physical Review Letters 93:14 (2004)
Abstract:
The double-Pomeron exchange (DPE) process p̄ + p → p̄′ + X + Y is investigated, where Y is a proton. The ratio of the number of DPE events in the region to the total number of events in the sample was 0.194±0.001±0.012. It was found that the value was lower than the prediction based on Regge factorization by a factor of 1.9 ± 0.2. It was indicated that the formation of a second rapidity gap in a single diffractive (SD) event is relatively unsuppressed. It was observed that the results favor those in which the Regge based shapes of the SD and DPE distributions remain unchanged and only the overall normalization is suppressed.Bounding the MSSM sector from above with the Tevatrons Bs->mu mu.

Measurement of the polar-angle distribution of leptons from W boson decay as a function of the W transverse momentum in pp̄ collisions at √s=1.8 TeV
Physical Review D Particles Fields Gravitation and Cosmology 70:3 (2004) 1-32004
Abstract:
We present a measurement of the polar-angle distribution of leptons from W boson decay, as a function of the W transverse momentum. The measurement uses an 80±4 pb-1 sample of pp̄ collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV collected by the CDF detector and includes data from both the W→e+ν and W→μ+ν decay channels. We fit the W boson transverse mass distribution to a set of templates from a Monte Carlo event generator and detector simulation in several ranges of the W transverse momentum. The measurement agrees with the standard model expectation, whereby the ratio of longitudinally to transversely polarized W bosons, in the Collins-Soper W rest frame, increases with the W transverse momentum at a rate of approximately 15% per 10 GeV/c.Observation of the narrow state X(3872) → J/ψπ+π- in p̄p collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV
Physical Review Letters 93:7 (2004)
Abstract:
The observation of a state consistent with X(3872) decaying into J/ψπ+π- was reported. The X(3872) mass was measured to be 3871.3±0.7(stat)±0.4(syst)MeV/c2 from a sample of 730±90 candidates. The observed width was consistent with the detector resolution. The results were found to be converging well with the measurements by the Belle Collaboration using b± decays.Search for Bs 0 → μ+μ - and Bd 0 → μ+μ - decays in pp̄ collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV
