Black Hole

Lensing of space time around a black hole. At Oxford we study black holes observationally and theoretically on all size and time scales - it is some of our core work.

Abstract:

Aims. With an observing time span of more than 20 yr, the CORALIE radial-velocity survey is able to detect long-term trends in data corresponding to companions with masses and separations accessible to direct imaging. Combining exoplanet detection techniques, such as radial velocities from the CORALIE survey, astrometric accelerations from HIPPARCO
