51猎奇入口 of the heavy flavor content of jets produced in association with W bosons in pp虅 collisions at 鈭歴=1.8TeV

Abstract:
We present a detailed examination of the heavy flavor content of the W+jet data sample collected with the Collider Detector at Fermilab during the 1992-1995 collider run at the Fermilab Tevatron. Jets containing heavy flavor quarks are selected via the identification of secondary vertices or semileptonic decays of b and c quarks. There is generally good agreement between the rates of secondary vertices and soft leptons in the data and in the standard model simulation including single and pair production of top quarks. An exception is the number of events in which a single jet has both a soft lepton and a secondary vertex tag. In W+2,3 jet data, we find 13 such events where we expected 4.4卤0.6 events. The kinematic properties of this small sample of events are statistically difficult to reconcile with the simulation of standard model processes.Search for new heavy particles in the WZ0 final state in pp虅 collisions at 鈭歴 = 1.8 TeV

Abstract:
The general search for new heavy particles, X, was presented. The data collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab showed no evidence for production of X in 110 pb-1. As a function of mass and width of new particle, the general cross section limits were set at 95% C.L. An analysis of results as mass limits on the production of new heavy charged vector bosons was presented.51猎奇入口 of B0 --> J/psiK(*)0pi(+)pi(-) decays with the collider detector at Fermilab.
Phys Rev Lett 88:7 (2002) 071801
Abstract:
We report a study of the decays B0 --> J/psiK(*)0pi(+)pi(-), which involve the creation of a uu or dd quark pair in addition to a b -->c(cs) decay. The data sample consists of 110 pb(-1) of pp collisions at square root[s] = 1.8 TeV collected by the CDF detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider during 1992-1995. We measure the branching fractions to be B(B0 --> J/psiK(*0)pi(+)pi(-)) = (6.6 +/- 1.9 +/- 1.1)x10(-4) and B(B0 --> J/psiK0pi(+)pi(-)) = (10.3 +/- 3.3 +/- 1.5)x10(-4). Evidence is seen for contributions from psi(2S)K(*)0, J/psiK0rho(0), J/psiK(*+)pi(-), and J/psiK1(1270).51猎奇入口 of B0 鈫 J/蠄K(*)0蟺+蟺- decays with the collider detector at Fermilab

Abstract:
The study of the decays B0 鈫 J/蠄K(*)0 蟺+蟺-, was reported. The study involved the creation of a u奴 or dd虅 quark pair in addition to a b虅 鈫 c虅(cs虅) decay. Three-level dimuon trigger was used in the analysis. Events with two separate sets of atleast three linked hits in the muon chambers. The second level required drift chamber tracks with pErratum: Measurement of the two-jet differential cross section in pp collisions at 鈭歴=1800 GeV (Physical Review D- Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology (2001) 64 (012001)
